Azerbaijan sharply increases methanol exports to main supply markets

In the first seven months of this year, Azerbaijan exported 275,194 tons (+2.4 times) of methanol (methyl alcohol) worth $81.332 million (+3.5 times), Report informs, citing the data of the State Statistics Committee.

A total of 84,187 tons (+46.7%) worth $25.932 million (+2.3 times) were sold to Turkiye, 71,969 tons (+3 times) worth $20.675 million (+4.3 times) to the Netherlands, 53,261 tons (+8.7 times) worth $15.694 million (+ 13 times) to Romania, 28,732 tons (+2.4 times) worth $8.215 million (+3.4 times) to Italy, 20,577 tons worth $6.158 million to Spain (there was no delivery a year ago).

Turkiye accounted for 45.2% of the 357,720 tons of methanol exported by Azerbaijan last year (to 9 countries), the Netherlands was responsible for 14.8% and Israel accounted for 9.2%.
