Azerbaijan shares data on oil exports for 1Q2025

In the first quarter of 2025, Azerbaijan exported 5.7 million tons of oil (including condensate), marking a decrease of 0.3 million tons, or 5%, compared to January–March 2024, Report informs, referring to the country’s Ministry of Energy.

During this period, SOCAR exported 0.7 million tons of oil, which is 0.1 million tons (12.5%) less than the same quarter of 2024.

At the same time, the consortium exported 4.9 million tons of oil, reflecting a decline of 0.3 million tons (5.8%) from the corresponding months of the previous year.

Since the commissioning of the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) and Shah Deniz fields, approximately 653.2 million tons of oil and 174.8 billion cubic meters of gas have been exported as of April 1, 2025.

The first oil from ACG—located about 100 km off Azerbaijan's coast—was produced in 1997.

The initial production sharing agreement for developing the block of fields was signed on September 20, 1994. A new agreement signed on September 14, 2017, extended the joint operation and production sharing of the fields until the end of 2049.
