Azerbaijan sees over 2% surge in ACG’s gas production

During the first four months of 2025, the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG), located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, produced 4.5 billion cubic meters of gas, marking a year-on-year increase of 0.1 billion cubic meters or 2.3%, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan’s Energy Ministry.

Overall, 16.7 billion cubic meters of natural gas were produced in Azerbaijan in January-April of 2025, remained unchanged compared to the corresponding period in 2024.

Furthermore, the Shah Deniz field produced 9 billion cubic meters of gas in the specified period, representing a 0.2 billion cubic meters or 2.2% decline year-on-year.

In the 4 months, 0.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas have been produced from the Absheron field, maintaining the same output as the corresponding period last year.

As of May 1, 2025, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced 2.7 billion cubic meters of natural gas, showing an increase of 0.1 billion cubic meters or 0.8% year-on-year.
