Azerbaijan sees 40% growth in earnings from polypropylene export

Azerbaijan exported polypropylene worth $10.3 million in April 2021, up $5 million or 94.3% from the previous year, Report informs, referring to the State Customs Committee (SCC).
In January-April 2021, the polypropylene export amounted to $37.1 million, which is $10.6 million or 40% more than the previous year.
Polypropylene is produced by the Polypropylene plant (184 KTA) of SOCAR Polymer. The Polypropylene Plant was inaugurated on July 18, 2018, with the participation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Italian President Sergio Mattarella. Propylene export started on October 5, 2018.
