Azerbaijan sees 10% surge in oil exports to Romania

Azerbaijan exported just under 585,667 tons of crude oil to Romania, valued at more than $350.7 million during the first 10 months of 2024, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.

Data shows that the exports grew by 10.06 percent in volume and rose by 7.39 percent in value compared to the same period last year.

The share of crude oil exported to Romania in Azerbaijan’s total oil exports for the reporting period was 2.85%.

Overall, Azerbaijan exported almost 20.572 million tons of crude oil and related products obtained from bituminous rocks, valued at just over $12.762 billion in January-October of 2024.

In the specified period, Azerbaijan conducted trade transactions with foreign countries worth more than $39.378 billion. Of that, $22.742 billion accounted for exports and over $16.636 billion fell to imports.
