Azerbaijan's revenues from polyethylene exports up by 13%

From January through August 2021, Azerbaijan exported primary polyethylene worth $66 million, Report informs, citing the Export Review of the Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communication (CERAC).
According to the Export Review, this figure is $7.7 million or 13.2% higher than in the same period last year.
The SOCAR Polymer project includes polypropylene plants with an annual capacity of 184,000 tons. The polypropylene plant was commissioned on July 18, 2018, with the participation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Italian President Sergio Mattarella. Export of polypropylene started on October 5.
