Azerbaijan’s oil exports to Romania surge by almost 11%

Azerbaijan exported more than 623,530 tons of crude oil to Romania, valued at over $368.55 million during the first 11 months of 2024, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.

Data shows that the exports grew by 10.9 percent in volume and by 6.9 percent in value compared to the corresponding period in 2023.

The share of crude oil exported to Romania in Azerbaijan’s total oil exports for the reporting period was 2.89%.

Overall, Azerbaijan exported more than 21.555 million tons of crude oil and related products obtained from bituminous rocks, worth over $13.304 billion in January-November 2024.

In the specified period, Azerbaijan conducted foreign trade transactions worth over $43.109 billion in January-November of 2024. Of that, almost $24.338 billion accounted for exports and over $18.771 billion fell to imports.
