Azerbaijan’s oil exports to Italy almost double

In January-April of 2025, Azerbaijan exported nearly 4.389 million tons of crude oil, valued at nearly $2.449 billion to Italy, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.

Compared to the corresponding period in 2024, the exports grew by 1.8 times in volume and 59.3% in value.

During the four months, the share of crude oil exported to Italy in Azerbaijan's total oil exports stood at 53.5%.

According to customs declarations, Azerbaijan exported around 8.204 million tons of crude oil and petroleum products obtained from bituminous rocks, valued at over $4.562 billion in the first four months of 2025.

Overall, Azerbaijan conducted trade transactions with other countries worth $16.917 billion in the first four months of 2025, with exports making $8.785 billion and imports responsible for $8.133 billion.
