Azerbaijan's natural gas exports exceeded 10 bcm in 5 months

In January–May of 2026, Azerbaijan exported just over 10.381 billion cubic meters of natural gas, valued at slightly more than $3.343 billion, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.

According to customs declarations, the exports increased by 1.07% in volume, while decreasing by 12.8% in value compared to the corresponding period in 2025.

During the reporting period, earnings from natural gas accounted for 23.93% of Azerbaijan's total export revenues.

Overall, Azerbaijan conducted foreign trade operations worth $20.788 billion in the initial five months of 2026. Of this, $13.970 billion came from exports and $6.818 billion from imports. Year‑on‑year, exports rose by 27%, while imports fell by 31.6%.
