Azerbaijan's gas production reached 25.4 bcm in 1H2026

In January–June 2026, Azerbaijan produced 25.4 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas, Report informs, citing the country's Ministry of Energy.

The ministry noted that 7.3 bcm came from the Azeri–Chirag–Gunashli field, 13.7 bcm from Shah Deniz, and 0.8 bcm from Absheron.

In addition, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced 3.6 bcm of gas in the first half of the year.

Azerbaijan's gas exports in the same period totaled 12.7 bcm. Of this volume, 5.9 bcm was delivered to Europe, 4.9 bcm to Türkiye (including 3 bcm via TANAP), 1.2 bcm to Georgia, and 0.7 bcm to Syria.

Since the launch of the Azeri–Chirag–Gunashli and Shah Deniz fields until July 1, 2026, Azerbaijan has produced nearly 679.8 million tons of oil (including condensate) and 529.6 bcm of gas. From Azeri–Chirag–Gunashli, 625.6 million tons of oil and 251.1 bcm of gas have been extracted, while Shah Deniz has yielded about 54.2 million tons of condensate and 278.5 bcm of gas.
