Azerbaijan records over 3% growth in ACG’s gas production

During the first three months of 2025, the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG), located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, produced 3.4 billion cubic meters of gas, marking a year-on-year increase of 0.1 billion cubic meters or 3.03%, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan’s Energy Ministry.
Overall, 12.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas were produced in Azerbaijan in the first quarter of 2025, remained unchanged compared to the corresponding period in 2024.
Furthermore, the Shah Deniz field produced 6.8 billion cubic meters of gas in January-March of this year, representing a 0.1 billion cubic meters or 1.45% decline year-on-year.
In three months, 0.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas have been produced from the Absheron field, maintaining the same output as the corresponding period last year.
Over the past three months, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced 2 billion cubic meters of natural gas, showing no change compared to the January-March period of 2024.
Since the commissioning of ACG and Shah Deniz till April 1, 2025, a total of 476.8 billion cubic meters of gas have been produced from the fields. Of that, 233.2 billion cubic meters have been produced from ACG and 243.6 billion cubic meters from Shah Deniz.
