Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan explore energy cooperation

Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan exchanged views on the current state and development prospects of energy cooperation, Report informs, citing Azerenerji OJSC.

The talks took place between delegations led by Baba Rzayev, Chairman of the Board of Azerenerji, Nabi Aytjanov, Chairman of the Board of Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company (KEGOC), and Feruz Kurbanov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan National Power Grid.

The meeting also addressed the application of new technologies and the integration of renewable energy sources into power systems. Experience was shared regarding Azerbaijan's newly launched Battery Energy Storage Centers with a capacity of 250 MW / 500 MWh.

Participants emphasized the importance of intensifying future cooperation and highlighted the necessity of mutual visits.
