Azerbaijan increases oil exports to Italy by over 45%

In January-May 2025, Azerbaijan exported 5.73 million tons of crude oil to Italy for $3.088 billion, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.

The volume of the goods exported from Azerbaijan to Italy soared by 45.2%, while the value increased by 22.5% compared to the first 5 months of 2024.

The share of crude oil supplied to Italy in Azerbaijan's total oil exports was 55.3%.

According to customs declarations, in January-May 2025, Azerbaijan exported 10.363 million tons of crude oil and oil products obtained from bituminous rocks worth $5.64 billion.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan conducted trade operations worth $20.966 billion with other countries. Of the foreign trade turnover, $11 billion accounted for exports, while $9.96 billion accounted for imports.
