Azerbaijan increased revenues from urea export 50 times last month

In October this year, Azerbaijan exported urea for $19.9 million, Report informs referring to the Export Review prepared by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.
This is $19.5 million, or 49.7 times more than in October last year.
In January-October this year, Azerbaijan exported urea for $69.8 million, which is $60.8 million or 7.8% more than in the ten months of 2020.
Urea (nitrogen fertilizer) is produced at the SOCAR Carbamid plant, built on the territory of the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park. The plant was commissioned on January 16, 2019. The plant’s capacity is 650,000-660,000 tons of urea per year. Some 70% of the production volume is intended for export.
