Azerbaijan increased natural gas exports by 16% in 2020

In 2020, Azerbaijan's gas exports amounted to 13.5 billion cubic meters, Report informs, citing the document provided by the Ministry of Energy on the results of 2020.
According to the information, compared to 2019, gas sales to foreign countries rose by 1.8 billion cubic meters or 15.6%.
In 2020, Turkey imported 11.1 billion cubic meters of gas from Azerbaijan, which is 21% more than in 2019. The volume of gas exported to Georgia was 1.1 billion cubic meters, a drop of 2.8% from in 2019.
Natural gas is supplied to Turkey via the South Caucasus Pipeline (Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum) and the Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP). It is transported to Georgia through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum and Gazimammad-Gazakh pipelines.
