Azerbaijan imported about 146 MCM of gas in Q1

The declared gas import to Azerbaijan in the first quarter of 2025 amounted to 145.635 million cubic meters, which is 1.7 times lower than the same period last year, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.

The cost of gas supplied to Azerbaijan amounted to $22.461 million, a 1.6-fold decline. Gas from Turkmenistan made 128.27 million cubic meters of gas (a decrease of 1.9 times) worth $19.204 million (a decrease of 1.9 times).

In addition, during the reporting period, 17.608 million cubic meters of gas were supplied from Russia for $3.257 million.

In January-March of last year, no supplies of Russian gas to Azerbaijan were recorded.

Declared gas imports to Azerbaijan in 2024 amounted to 546.819 million cubic meters (a decrease of 4.3 times) for $86.988 million (a decrease of 4.2 times). Imports were carried out from the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan.
