Azerbaijan exports nearly 19 bcm of natural gas in 9 months

According to customs declarations, Azerbaijan exported over 18.731 billion cubic meters of natural gas in January-September 2024, Report informs, citing the country's State Customs Committee.

The value from the natural gas exports exceeded $6.075 billion.

During the reporting period, the volume of exported natural gas decreased by 8.3% and its value dropped by 46.8% compared to the first nine months of 2023.

Natural gas accounted for 30.6% of Azerbaijan's total exports.

In January-September 2024, Azerbaijan conducted trade operations worth $34.498 billion with other countries. Of the trade turnover, $19.855 billion accounted for exports, and $14.643 billion imports. Over the past year, exports decreased by 25%, while imports increased by 16%.
