Azerbaijan exports 14.7 million tons of crude oil in eight months

Azerbaijan exported 14.678 million tons of crude oil and petroleum products obtained from bituminous minerals in January-August 2026.

According to Report, citing statistics from the State Customs Committee, the value of the exports amounted to $9.282 billion.

Compared with January-August 2025, the volume of crude oil exports decreased by 7.8%, while their value increased by 10.5%.

In the first eight months of the year, crude oil and petroleum products obtained from bituminous minerals accounted for 42.55% of Azerbaijan"s total exports.

In January-August this year, Azerbaijan conducted foreign trade operations worth $33.238 billion. Exports accounted for $21.815 billion of the foreign trade turnover, while imports amounted to $11.423 billion.

Over the past year, exports increased by 27.8%, while imports declined by 24.1%.
