Azerbaijan exported nearly 16M tons of crude oil in 8 months of 2025

In January–August of 2025, Azerbaijan exported 15,924,752.22 tons of crude oil and petroleum products obtained from bituminous minerals worth nearly $8.4 billion, based on customs declarations, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.
Compared to the same period in 2024, the volume of crude oil exports decreased by 3.3%, while the value dropped by 18.5%.
Crude oil and petroleum products made up 49.2% of Azerbaijan's total exports during the eight months of the year.
In total, Azerbaijan conducted foreign trade operations worth $32.12 billion in January–August. Of this, exports accounted for $17.07 billion and imports for $15.05 billion. Year-on-year, exports declined by 6.4%, while imports increased by 17.9%.
