Azerbaijan earns $94M from electricity exports in 11 months

In January-November 2024, Azerbaijan exported nearly 1.75 billion kWh of electricity worth $93.9 million, according to the State Customs Committee statistics, Report informs.
Compared to the same period last year, the value of exported electricity decreased by 75.2%, while the volume decreased by 55.5%.
Electricity accounted for 3.55% of Azerbaijan's main non-oil export products.
In November, the country exported 11.92 million kWh of electricity worth $372,900, which is 83.6 times and 43 times less respectively compared to a year ago.
In January-November 2024, Azerbaijan exported main non-oil products worth $2.65 billion, 2.4% less compared to the previous year.
During the 11 months, Azerbaijan conducted trade operations worth $43.1 billion with foreign countries. Of the foreign trade turnover, exports accounted for $24.34 billion, while imports accounted for $18.77 billion. Over the past year, exports decreased by 22.8%, while imports increased by 18.7%.
