Azerbaijan discloses income from electricity exports

In January-October of 2024, Azerbaijan exported over 1.733 billion kWh of electricity, generating revenue of more than $93.56 million, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.

Compared to the corresponding period in 2023, the exports decreased by 73.1% in value and dropped by 49.2% in volume.

In October alone, the country exported just under 381.8 million kWh of electricity, worth $19.13 million, which represents increases of 23.4% and 7.5% respectively, year-on-year.

Meanwhile, in the first 10 months of 2024, Azerbaijan's exports of basic non-oil products totaled over $2.388 billion, a 1.5% decrease from the same period in 2023. Electricity exports accounted for 3.92% of Azerbaijan's major non-oil product exports.

In the specified period, Azerbaijan conducted trade transactions with foreign countries worth more than $39.378 billion. Of that, $22.742 billion accounted for exports and over $16.636 billion fell to imports.
