Azerbaijan aims to create an integrated and diversified network of power grid interconnections stretching from Asia to Europe, Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov said at the Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2026) in Baku, Report informs.
According to him, such a network positions Azerbaijan not only as a producer and exporter of green energy, but also as a key regional energy hub connecting energy flows between different regions.
He added that work on the Central Asia–Azerbaijan Green Energy Corridor is progressing rapidly:
"Completion of the project's feasibility study is expected in May 2027, with the commissioning of the corridor planned for 2030," the minister stated.
