Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri: Necessary to switch to renewables as soon as possible

It is necessary to switch to renewable energy sources as soon as possible, former ISESCO CEO Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri said at the panel session “Combating Climate Change and Meeting the Global Need for Energy: How do we do both?” within the VIII Global Baku Forum, Report informs.

He said that the electricity generation and climate change are closely related: the use of cars, the operation of millions of factories cause significant harm to the environment.

Many countries are already implementing the transition to renewable energy sources, using the energy of wind, sun, etc., he added.
