Rector: Over 400 Vietnamese students graduated from Baku State University

More than 400 Vietnamese students have graduated from Baku State University (BSU), BSU Rector Elchin Babayev stated during the opening speech at a musical-cultural program as part of the Vietnam Days project, Report informs.

Babayev noted that BSU sees strong potential for cooperation with Vietnamese higher education institutions in areas such as joint research projects, academic mobility, student and faculty exchanges, international conferences, doctoral studies, and joint educational programs.

He highlighted that historically, more than 4,000 Vietnamese students and specialists have studied at Azerbaijani universities.

The rector underlined that BSU has been one of the key centers of this educational partnership, with its Vietnamese graduates specializing in law, geology, physics, mathematics, oriental studies, chemistry, and biology. Many of them later assumed important roles in Vietnam's government, parliament, science, education, and other sectors, he added.

Babayev further stated that Vietnam's higher education system is rapidly developing and gaining international recognition, with several universities now represented in prestigious global rankings.

The rector also pointed out that BSU, with 16 faculties and around 25,000 students, is strengthening its international and research profile, offering a broad academic base for cooperation with Vietnamese institutions.
