Cole: Importance of American education for Azerbaijani students is hard to overestimate

Over the past five years, the number of Azerbaijani students in the United States has been increasing by approximately 20% annually, Randy Cole, Cultural and Educational Affairs Advisor at the US Embassy in Azerbaijan, said on the sidelines of the Study in the USA exhibition.

According to Report, he noted that this trend reflects that Azerbaijani students and their families clearly understand the value of American education and the opportunities offered by leading US higher education institutions.

"Upon returning home after their studies, Azerbaijani students bring with them developed analytical thinking, in-demand professional skills, and become part of a community of more than 8,000 Azerbaijanis who have previously been educated in the United States. Therefore, the importance of American education for Azerbaijani students is hard to overestimate. In addition, an important advantage is the experience of living in a country like the United States," Cole noted.
