Kuchkarov: Azerbaijan strategically important to Uzbekistan from logistics perspective — EXCLUSIVE

Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan have the necessary conditions and opportunities to significantly expand bilateral trade, Uzbek Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Jamshid Kuchkarov said.

"I can say unequivocally that we are making every effort to develop our relations, as we enjoy excellent ties with Azerbaijan. The leaders of our countries also maintain very close relations," he told Report on the sidelines of the Tashkent Investment Forum.

According to the Uzbek official, all prerequisites exist for strengthening trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

"We have all the conditions necessary for cooperation. We have all the conditions needed to increase trade," Kuchkarov noted.

He also highlighted Azerbaijan's strategic significance for Uzbekistan in the field of transport and logistics.

"Given Azerbaijan's geographic location, it is of great importance to us, including from a logistics standpoint. There is much that we can and should do together in this area," Kuchkarov added.
