Wind speeds exceed 20 m/s in Baku

Northwesterly winds in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula have strengthened to 21 m/s.
According to Report, the National Hydrometeorological Service said in its latest weather update that as of 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, rainy weather was observed in some parts of Azerbaijan, with localized heavy showers and thunderstorms recorded.
Astara received up to 40 mm of rainfall, equivalent to 48% of the monthly average. Zagatala recorded 11 mm, Guba 9 mm, Agstafa and Lankaran 7 mm, Dashkasan and Tovuz 5 mm, Gusar 4 mm, Khaltan 3 mm, Lerik and Gakh 2 mm, while up to 1 mm was recorded in Gryz, Altiaghach, Shaki, Gadabay and Shamkir.
Fog was reported in Shahdag, Altiagach, Shamkir, Goygol, Gakh (Sarybash), Dashkasan and Gadabay, with visibility reduced to 500 meters.
Northwesterly winds are blowing in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula, with gusts reaching 21 m/s. In Neftchala, southeasterly winds are reaching 20 m/s.
The maximum temperature reached 30°C in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula, 36°C in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, 34°C in lowland areas and 20°C in mountainous areas.
