Satellite technologies and regional modeling are essential for monitoring and forecasting air pollution in the Caspian region, Elnur Safarov, a senior researcher at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), said at WUF13 in Baku, Report informs.
He stated that traditional observation methods have limited coverage and need to be supplemented with modern technologies.
"Satellite observations, drones, and modeling systems must be used," he said.
