The issue of pollution of the Okhchuchay River is in the focus of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan (MENR), Mutallim Abdulhasanov, head of the Water Resources Management Department, told Report.
He noted that other transboundary rivers in our liberated territories gain access to Azerbaijan through Armenia. According to Abdulhasanov, high pollution levels are observed in all these rivers: "The polluted water enters the territory of Azerbaijan from Armenia and flows directly into the Kura and Araz Rivers."
He said that Azerbaijan controls the situation with river pollution. Relevant samples have been taken and analyzed.
