Next Baku Climate Action Week to be in September

The next Baku Climate Action Week will take place in Azerbaijan from September 7–11, 2026, Rashad Ismayilov, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, said during the 13th Session of the World Urban ForumW (WUF13) in Baku, Report informs.

According to him, Azerbaijan has joined more than 20 international environmental conventions and protocols and continues to strengthen cooperation with UN institutions in environmental protection.

He also recalled that Azerbaijan successfully hosted COP29, which resulted in the launch of the Loss and Damage Fund, adoption of the Adaptation Roadmap, and establishment of the Baku Finance Goal.

"From September 7–11 this year, Baku Climate Week will be held under the mandate of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change," Ismayilov stated.

The first Baku Climate Week was held in 2024, followed by the second in 2025.
