Australia thanks Azerbaijan and Brazil for leadership at recent COPs

Australia has highly praised the leadership of Azerbaijan and Brazil at the two most recent climate conferences, David Higgins, Australia's Deputy Executive Director and Head of COP31 Negotiations, said at the opening ceremony of the Fourth Climate Week of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (CW4) in Baku, according to Report.

"I would like to thank Azerbaijan and, of course, Brazil for their leadership throughout the last two COPs, as well as for their continued active engagement," he noted.

Higgins added that Australia looks forward to cooperating with Türkiye within the framework of COP31 to continue this strong tradition and build on the results achieved.
