A commission should be established to investigate Armenia's war crimes in the First and Second Karabakh wars, MP Zahid Oruj, who heads the Social Research Center, said at the conference organized by the center on "Armenia's war crimes against Azerbaijan in the last 30 years", Report informs.
According to him, the fuss made around the footage of the unconfirmed murder of Armenian soldiers on October 2 is aimed at undermining Azerbaijan's victory in the Patriotic War.
Oruj said Azerbaijan waged the Second Karabakh war in full compliance with international law: "The 44-day war was a true Nuremberg Trial. After our victory, the world saw more than 1 million mines buried in liberated lands. Not a single murderer from Khojaly has been tried in international courts. Most of their 'heroes' of the last 30 years are those who committed crimes against our people. The Hague Tribunal should have tried these Armenian criminals."
He stressed that a commission should be established to investigate the war crimes committed by Armenia in the first and second Karabakh wars: "The amount of US military aid to Ukraine alone is $26 billion, and $500 billion are promised for the reconstruction of Ukraine. We appreciate it. However, we do not see such support regarding the return to the liberated areas. If Armenia is unable to pay compensation, this compensation can be paid in the form of land and other forms."
