The agreement reached in Washington has effectively consigned the unproductive OSCE Minsk Group to history, Ziyafat Asgarov, Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis, said during a special session titled "Washington Agreements: A Triumph of Peace Diplomacy and Wise Leadership," held as part of the parliament's extraordinary session, according to Report.
He emphasized that one of the key steps toward achieving a peace treaty was completed during the Washington meeting:
"The document formalizes the establishment of an unobstructed connection with Nakhchivan via the Zangazur Corridor, marking the realization of another national objective. Additionally, the meeting brought US-Azerbaijan relations to a new qualitative level. Cooperation is now envisioned on issues of mutual interest between the two countries. We hope our country will continue to secure its rightful place in the new world order," Asgarov noted.
