Vahid Hajiyev: Primary issue - to create conditions for former IDPs

The most important issue for the Azerbaijani government is to create the best conditions for former internally displaced persons who return to their cities and villages, said Vahid Hajiyev, special representative of the president of Azerbaijan in the Zangilan district, Report informs from Shusha.

Hajiyev noted that he and his team live in the "smart village" of Agali - the first settlement where the former residents of this village returned.

"We are in constant contact with people, we know firsthand their problems," he said.

According to Emin Huseynov, the president's special representative in the liberated territories of the Karabakh economic region (except for Shusha), it is necessary to constantly work with the former internally displaced persons and find out their needs.

“I constantly receive phone calls from people from Aghdam who want to return to their lands, although so far resettlement to this area is impossible due to mines,” he said.
