The ASAN service centers currently operating in Azerbaijan are sufficient to provide services to the entire population, Ulvi Mehdiyev, chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan, said in an interview with Baku TV, Report informs.
He noted that ASAN service centers have been operating for 14 years.
"On July 13, 2012, President Ilham Aliyev signed an order on the establishment of ASAN service. The main goal was to provide citizens with transparent, fully bureaucracy-free and prompt services. Another key objective was to build relations between civil servants and citizens on a new basis," Mehdiyev said.
He noted that over the past years, with the support and instructions of the country's leadership, ASAN service expanded rapidly in both quality and quantity.
"Today, 28 ASAN service centers operate across the country. In addition, three ASAN Kommunal centers are operating. Thus, a total of 31 centers provide services to citizens," he said.
Mehdiyev said the centers operate in different regions of the country and serve citizens regardless of their place of registration.
"We believe this number is sufficient to provide services to the population. In addition, 10 mobile ASAN service buses are operating. These buses travel to districts without ASAN service centers and, depending on demand, stay there for two weeks or one month, providing services to citizens in districts, cities and settlements," he said.
According to Mehdiyev, the 28 ASAN service centers fully cover the country, and there is currently no need to increase their number.
