France, believing that a certain vacuum has emerged in the South Caucasus, is behaving aggressively toward the region, Milli Majlis deputy Tural Ganjaliyev said at a roundtable held at the Center for Analysis of International Relations, dedicated to President Ilham Aliyev"s remarks during his meeting with residents of Zangilan.
Report quotes Ganjaliyev as saying this activity by Paris is becoming increasingly noticeable amid ongoing peace processes in the region.
"There is an alliance between France, Greece, Armenia, India, and Greek Cyprus, and the aim of this rapprochement is undoubtedly the South Caucasus. From the current situation, it is clear that Türkiye is also concerned about this alliance," Ganjaliyev said.
The deputy noted that despite tensions surrounding the Strait of Hormuz and the ongoing Russia–Ukraine conflict, Azerbaijan"s foreign policy remains generally stable.
