Tovuz resident in Azerbaijan injured by mine blast urges public not to ignore danger

A resident of Gosha village in Azerbaijan's Tovuz district who was injured by a mine stated that those who believe mine danger can be avoided are deeply mistaken, Tamam Jafarova said at a press conference on the results of the project "Creating Economic Opportunities for Mine Victims - Phase 3," Report informs.

"I was born in the village of Gosha in the Tovuz district. In the prime of my life, I was injured by a mine. Now I am engaged in sewing. As part of the project, I was given an embroidery machine. This support allowed me to expand my professional activities," Jafarova said.

She emphasized that Azerbaijan is one of the most mine-contaminated countries in the world and urged citizens not to enter dangerous territories and to strictly follow safety rules.

"Anyone who thinks they can avoid a mine is seriously mistaken. A mine is a great evil that cannot be ignored," Jafarova said.
