Rasim Aliguliyev: WUF13 agenda should become priority for relevant agencies

Following the conclusion of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), which will be held in Baku from May 17 to 22, the issues raised there should become a priority for relevant bodies, Rasim Aliguliyev, Vice President of Azerbaijan's National Academy of Sciences, said at the international conference "Shaping Human Capital for Sustainable and Resilient Urban Development" in Baku, Report informs.

According to him, WUF13 is an important platform for discussing all societal issues.

"All scientific fields should be involved in this work. These issues should not be forgotten after the event; they should become a priority for the relevant bodies," Aliguliyev said.

He noted that green and digital transformation have already become the subject of research: "Artificial intelligence and the smart city concept are relevant. It is not enough to simply import technologies from abroad and implement them in Azerbaijan – we need to develop national personnel. Perhaps there is a need to create an institutional body or research institute that would address urban development issues."
