Civil society institutions play a great role in these forums. The National NGO Forum is an umbrella organization and represents various civil society institutions. According to Azerbaijani legislation, the opinions of communities and stakeholders must be obtained. In Azerbaijan, the participation of communities is taken into account to a significant degree. The opinions of local communities were obtained when the master plan of the liberated territories was being prepared. We have cooperated with the UN in a number of areas. Representatives of Azerbaijani civil society also actively participated in COP29. Our cooperation with UN-Habitat is expanding."
