Rahman Hajiyev: Mine threat remains relevant even after wars end

The mine problem does not lose its relevance even after wars end, Rahman Hajiyev, Chairman of the Board of the Karabakh Revival Fund, told the media ahead of a closed screening of the documentary "Deadly Legacy," produced by Beach House Pictures at the Fund's request, Report informs.

According to him, the film focuses on the large-scale demining efforts underway in Azerbaijan.

"At the same time, the fate of people affected by mines and, of course, developments related to this problem around the world are among the film's main themes," he said.

Hajiyev noted that, alongside Azerbaijan, the documentary also covers mine-related challenges in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Laos and Colombia.

"We worked very hard with the international team to present Azerbaijan's work in mine action to the public objectively. At the same time, we also addressed the challenges facing our country and the wider world so that this issue does not lose its relevance among international audiences," he said.
