Patrick Lau: Baku has beautiful urban landscape

Baku makes a very strong impression with its beautiful and sustainable urban landscape, Patrick Lau, chairman of the Asian Habitat Society, said at an event during WUF13 in Baku, Report informs.

"I am particularly impressed by Baku's beautiful urban landscape. It is very, very beautiful and sustainable, and it makes a very good impression on us," he said.

He emphasized that in today's environment, landscape design is becoming a core urban infrastructure rather than a decorative element.

"With climate change, the importance of landscapes, including their climatic and carbon functions, is increasing, creating new demands on urban planning," he noted.
