Pashazade praises Azerbaijan's achievements under Ilham Aliyev

Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade expressed gratitude to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for the high regard shown to him.

According to Report, Pashazade made the remarks on September 15 during President Ilham Aliyev's meeting with a delegation comprising Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev, members and observers of the Council of Heads of Muslim Religious Administrations of the Organization of Turkic States, co-organizers of the Yahya Bakuvi International Conference, and members of the Supreme Religious Council of the Peoples of the Caucasus.

Pashazade said Azerbaijan was flourishing and reaching new heights in the world under President Aliyev's leadership.

"The full restoration of our sovereignty and territorial integrity under your leadership has been a great gift for us. We could only see and imagine it in our dreams. But Almighty Allah allowed me to witness it in my lifetime. There were people who said this could never happen and that they did not believe in it. But, praise be to Allah, under your leadership, through your policy, both domestic and foreign, and through the unity of the people, we achieved victory," he said.

The Sheikhulislam also said the head of state had set even greater tasks before him.

"In return for this recognition, I will do everything within my power for the rest of my life to continue promoting relations within the Islamic world and between religions, brotherly relations, as well as Azerbaijan's Islamic solidarity and tolerance throughout the world," Pashazade said.
