Number of registered political parties in Azerbaijan announced

"There are currently 58 political parties in Azerbaijan. Seven political parties were registered in 2020, and 2 political parties this year," said Aslan Hajiyev, head of the department for work with non-governmental organizations of the Ministry of Justice, Report informs.

The department head said that there are 3,359 public associations, 211 foundations, 73 trade unions, 224 apartment owners' joint ventures.

According to him, more than 900 million manats have been allocated to civil society on about 10,000 projects over the past five years.
