Nearly 400 MES personnel involved in F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix

At the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), training sessions have been held for marshals specialized in fire protection and rescue as part of preparations for the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2026, Colonel‑Lieutenant Elvin Aghayev, head of the MES Main Operations Department, told journalists, Report informs.

Aghayev noted that there are 186 marshals in total, of whom 60 are professional firefighters from the MES.

According to him, the training consists of two parts: "In the theoretical section, rules of conduct during fires and other regulations are explained, while in the practical section, behavior in working with technical equipment is demonstrated. More than 30 special vehicles of the ministry, as well as nearly 400 personnel, are planned to be deployed."

The F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix will be held in Baku on September 24–26.
