The first residential complex in the city of Zangilan has been built in accordance with modern urban planning standards, Ilhamiyya Rza, the head of the public relations department of the Service for Reconstruction, Construction and Management of the Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan districts, told Report's Karabakh bureau.
According to her, the foundation of the residential quarter-whose opening was attended by President Ilham Aliyev-was laid in 2022, and the complex was commissioned on May 10 this year.
"According to the master plan, the complex, built on an area of 2 hectares, consists of 12 buildings. Eight of them are two-storey, while the rest are three-storey. The area includes a children's playground, sports zone, gazebos, as well as underground and surface parking facilities. The construction of social infrastructure facilities such as a school, kindergarten, and hospital is also planned. The residential quarter is located near the Zangilan Congress Center and the district mosque," she said.
She added that during the construction period, the head of state visited the site twice to review the progress of the work.
"To date, 59 families have been resettled in Zangilan and have been handed the keys to their apartments. Today, another five families have returned to their homeland," Rza noted.
