Ilham Aliyev: If any public official does not fulfill his duty with honor, he will undoubtedly be punished

Azerbaijan has great prospects, great potential, especially after our historic Victory in the Second Karabakh War, when we put an end to this injustice and restored historical justice with our own strength, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said while receiving the newly appointed head of the Masalli District Executive Power Araz Ahmadov, the head of the Lerik District Executive Power Akbar Abbasov and the head of the Goygol District Executive Power Elvin Pashayev, Report informs.

“We live as a victorious nation, we live with dignity, and work in our country should be done in such a way that there are no disturbing problems, no injustice. We have all the opportunities – our natural resources, geographical location, international reputation, and infrastructure projects. Now everything is obvious. How rapidly is Azerbaijan developing, especially in the current conditions, when the economic crisis is prevailing in the world and other worrying issues are apparent. Now, in such a case, if a public official does not perform his duty with honor, he will undoubtedly be punished. We cannot allow someone to overshadow our successful development, someone to build a nest of bribery and undermine the foundations of our state,” the head of state said.
