Landmine-related incidents are common in recently liberated areas, Umud Mirzayev, president of the International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF), said at the conference on "Let's unite our efforts for a mine-free Azerbaijan".
Some 7 to 8 incidents have already occurred within a month, he said.
According to him, problems related to landmines are also increasing as people travel to Karabakh and East Zangazur:
"There is a need for more education among the returning population."
