First group of former IDPs leave for Azerbaijan's Hadrut, Badara villages

The first group of former internally displaced persons has left for the village of Hadrut in Khojavend and the village of Badara in Khojaly districts in Azerbaijan, Report informs.

At this stage, 10 families (42 people) are returning to Hadrut, and 14 families (55 people) to Badara. They were previously temporarily resettled in hostels, sanatoriums, children's camps, unfinished and administrative buildings.

But as a result of the brilliant victory of the Azerbaijani army in the Patriotic War under the leadership of the President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, former internally displaced persons have the opportunity to voluntarily, safely and with dignity return to their homeland after 30 years.

Residents expressed gratitude to the head of state and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for comprehensive state care, and also thanked the brave Azerbaijani army for liberating the Azerbaijani lands from occupation, wished peace to the souls of the martyrs who died in the name of this high goal.

Presently, more than 50,000 people live in Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur, including former internally displaced persons, as well as those working on the implementation of projects in these regions, employees of local branches of various government agencies, employees of healthcare, education, culture, tourism, industry and energy institutions that have resumed their activities.
