In addition to relevant government bodies, other institutions should also be involved in ensuring the safety of children, Bahar Muradova, Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, said during a presentation.
Report quotes her as saying events in recent years in Azerbaijan and around the world show that child protection must be part of state policy.
Muradova noted that Azerbaijan has already formed a legal framework regulating the rights of children and families, but public institutions must also be involved in the process.
She emphasized the need not only to ensure rights but also to improve legal literacy among the population and strengthen legal awareness.
