Azerbaijan updates procedure for approving high-level delegation visits

Amendments have been made to the presidential decree No. 144 of November 5, 2004, "On the submission of reports and information on visits of high-level delegations," signed by Ilham Aliyev, Report informs.

According to the document, visits by high-level delegations led by the prime minister, deputy prime ministers, heads and deputy heads of central executive authorities, as well as similar officials of foreign states and international organizations, must now be coordinated with the president of Azerbaijan.

It is also required to submit a report to the president following such visits.

Information on the travel program, its significance, the necessity of in-person participation, travel and other expenses, funding sources, expected outcomes (efficiency forecast), delegation head, members, and justification for their participation must be submitted at least 15 working days before the trip.

The Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to address issues arising from the decree.
